Last week I had the pleasure of shooting at Hogarths Hotel, in Solihull. I can not express to you how much of a hidden gem Hogarths is. Imagine getting married in Tolkien’s, Middle Earth. It feels like your stepped in to the magic of The Shire or stepped through the wardrobe into Narnia.
Nestled in 27 acres of countryside and woodland, Hogarths offers both indoor and outdoor delights. From its stunning Garden Suite overlooking the beautiful grounds to a hidden woodland wedding ceremony space. Its stunning setting looked magical at the start of February, I can imagine it looks absolutely magical in the spring and summer. It has an Iris garden, Bluebell wood and a lake house to mention just a few of the magical spots.
We felt like we’d stepped into a fairytale as we wandered the moss covered paths, over the little stone bridge and walked along the side of the peaceful stream surrounded by towering trees. You would never know you were only 15 minutes from Birmingham airport and the NEC.
This unique venue would be perfect for couples looking for both intimate ceremonies and larger celebrations. It has so many different spaces that it could cater for all possibilities. It gives you a sense of being away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and is like a portal to a magical world.
From a photographers point of view its absolutely a dream venue. With the range of different backdrops available they’ll be no issues with creating natural, magical wedding photos that you’ll cherish.
